I wish you were here

Well, not literally today, since this (Des Moines, IA) is the first I've had WiFi access since leaving Livingston, MT several days ago.

No, the headline of this post was a thought I had during a ranger presentation my first night in Yellowstone. Ranger Tom was giving a very interesting presentation titled "Wolves are people too." While listening to Ranger Tom and seeing some very cool pictures of the Yellowstone wolves, I thought "You know who would really enjoy this?". You would.

It doesn't matter if we've only met once, are lifelong friends or are related. If you haven't been out West, drop what you are doing and get out there. If you've already been there, even if you've been to Yellowstone, go back. I wish you were here.

And by here I mean Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park, Jenny Lake, Jackson Hole, Jackson, the Lamar Valley, the Beartooth Highway, 14a over the Bighorn Mountains and the list could go on. Last night was in Sturgis, SD, tonight is Des Moines, IA and tomorrow should be Cincinnati, OH. I've got plenty of pictures, stories and ideas about all of these places, but it'll have to wait until I get more dependable Internet access, which may be tomorrow or the next day when I hope to be home.

If I don't post tomorrow, have a great Fourth of July!
