After the previous day's activities, we slept in but only until 8:00. After the always delicious breakfast buffet, we sat in on a presentation about the Strait of Magellan, which we would be in later today. After the presentation, we attended a knot tying class taught by the boatswain. Another presentation followed, this one on Chile, it's culture and attractions. After lunch, we had time for a quick nap before we disembarked at the Aguila Glacier.

Sailing up the Strait of Magellan in the dark. |
After dinner, there was a farewell toast from the Captain and the ship's flag or jack was raffled off. Unfortunately, despite a helping hand from Mauricio we didn't take the flag home with us. The navigation chart used for Cape Horn was auctioned off with a lady from Missouri being the high bidder.
The Captain bade us farewell with a toast and we reluctantly headed to bed, sad that tomorrow was our last day in Chile and we would have to head home.
Next up: Penguinos and heading home.
